"Janet's concert was a truly beautiful presentation of the works of Johnny Mercer.
Her obvious dedication to his music & her knowledge of his collaborators in his
career as a lyricist & musician added something special to the night.
Janet's rapport with her accomplished fellow muscians was perfect as was the
subtlety of her voice & her diction in fitting with the complicated & diverse
lyrics of Johnny Mercer."

Review Of "the Pheasantry' London

Janet Seidel

The Pheasantry

London, UK

Janet Seidel, one of Australia’s top jazz singers, returned to London with a truly lovely evening of light jazz. Her sweet, breathy tones are reminiscent of Blossom Dearie, but it’s also clear that Doris Day has had great influence on Seidel’s vocal style.

Concert review: Janet Seidel Trio in the Scotsman 4/10/11 by Fiona Kerr

Recital Room, Glasgow ****

THE Australian-style weather may have already been a thing of the past by Friday evening but there was still a sultry, balmy quality to the music played in the Recital Room, courtesy of Janet Seidel'sSydney-based group. The charismatic singer-pianist set the tone with the very first tune, a gentlebossa nova version of Day In, Day Out on which her soft, unfussy vocals were offset by just guitar and bass, creating a gorgeous sound.
